Friends of Brook Park is proud to invite you to the opening of drawings and designs created by the youth of Mott Haven for the Harmony Grove and Peace Walk Labyrinth, an exciting transformation of asphalt into green space.

Tuesday June 24th, 5-7PM
Mott Haven Branch of The New York Public Library
East 140th Street and Alexander Avenue
#6 train to 138th street and third avenue

Caminodepaz.org artist Ariane Burgess has worked with ninth graders from Mott Haven Prep, a project of East Side Settlement, and the youth group of Pueblo en Marcha to envision the revitalization of a section of our Park. The months long initiative included site visits, measurements, sketches, drawings and scale models. The major aspects of the students designs include significant green space, a labyrinth and water component reflecting the planned daylighting and restoration of the underground brook.
